Have You Ever Wondered How to Stitch Together Quilt Blocks That Were Supposed to be the Same Size but Aren't Even Close?

Dear Friend,
If you are anything like I am, at some point in your quilting life, you have acquired a stack of blocks that are different sizes.
Maybe you participated in a block exchange, or possibly you won your quilt guild's block of the month prize. And, prizes those are, aren't they?
If you have ever gotten a stack of blocks made by different quilters, you know that the chances of their being the same size is extremely small. Likewise, if there were no rules about fabrics or colors to use in the quilt, you probably have a stack of blocks that don't match, either.
It is also possible that the blocks you made for a quilt ended up different sizes. I know mine do - more often than I'd like to admit.
Or, maybe you decided to make several blocks and some are 4 patches, others are 5 patches and still others are 9 patches. That means that some of your blocks are 8 inches, others are 10 inches and others might be 9 inches.
What to do? Because you really want to keep them together, since you got them from the same place. Yet, how to do you put them together without making the weirdest quilt on earth?
What if you could discover some techniques
that would allow you to make more quilts
in a shorter amount of time?
Sharyn Craig has been quilting and teaching for years, and she has seen it all!
Sharyn was teaching when I began quilting in the early 1980s. As members of the same quilt guild here in the East County of San Diego, I know she participated in many block exchanges, and she guided her quilting students through many challenging quilts.
In the process, Sharyn created some creative ways to solve those quilting problems, and she shared them during an Eavesdrop on a Telephone Conversation.
Sharyn is one of the most organized quilters I know. She can have multiple quilts going at the same time and finish them all. Not like me - where I start one, get the top done and then move it from place to place in my house thinking that maybe by moving it, the quilt will magically get finished.
Sharyn will also share her secrets for keeping organized so we can actually finish the quilts we start.
And the good news is that Sharyn is one of those wonderful quilters who was willing and anxious to share all of her secrets.
During the Conversation, Sharyn talked about:
- creating beautiful quilts using blocks of different sizes
- purchasing just the right amount of the perfect fabric for your stash
- how to move from copying quilts to creating your own design
- designing an original quilt using plain, boring blocks
- making more quilts during the year by staying organized
- and much, much more

Sharyn answered questions about how to get more out of your quilting time - both in creativity and productivity - as well as describing some technical skills that can help our quiltmaking.
If you missed this call, you'll want to get a CD recording so you can hear all of the valuable information Sharyn shared at your convenience.
Yes! I'd like a CD recording of the call.
Happy Quilting!
