Greetings,
If you are anything like I am, you are always looking for something new and different for your next quilt.
Quilt blocks are great, and there are thousands to choose from. With our recent Eavesdrop on a Telephone Conversation and several new quilting resources, we have learned a lot about transferring photos to fabric so you can make quilts.
All of that information is most excellent, and will make your quilts truly exceptional.
Recently, I ran across something even more unique - Mosaic Quilts.
Mosaic is defined as “a decorative design or picture made by setting small colored pieces, as tile.” Replace “tile” with “fabric” and you have a mosaic quilt.
That’s right. Mosaic quilts are made up of tiny fabric squares that create a design or picture. More specifically, YOUR favorite picture or design.
They are beautiful! Just like the picture above. And, it is easy for both beginning and experienced quilters to learn how to make mosaic quilts.
Using special quilting software you can make memory quilts that are unforgettable, photo quilts that are amazing, and art quilts that are easy.
And, because the fabric pieces are so small, you can use your stash to make several beautiful wall hangings that will astonish your friends.
Listen to Tammie talk about the best photographs to use for this process:

This technique and software has been around for some time now, and it is tested for reliability and ease of use.
In addition, Tammie has made some amazing mosaic quilts that have won awards at quilt shows. The one pictured above won the Japan Award at Quilt National 2007.
Tammie Bowser joined us last Thursday, September 11 to share her technique on our Eavesdrop on a Telephone Conversation. The fun begins at 5PM Pacific Time, 6PM Mountain Time, 7PM Central Time and 8PM Eastern Time.
With the economy the way it is, wouldn’t it be nice to be able to make gifts that save you money (because you use fabric from your stash) and bring a big smile to the face of your family and friends.
And because Tammie wants to help you get started working with this amazing and easy technique, she is offering us a special deal, with bonuses to make it easy to get started. Just click on the link below, and see some of these fantastic quilts and learn how you can make them:

If you missed any part – or even all – of the call, you will be able to hear what you missed if you order a CD recording of the call..
You can listen again and again, if you need to. It could be like having Tammie right there with you to explain exactly what to do and how to do it. And you can get your question answered in the middle of the night and have your mosaic quilt completed by morning.
I'd like a CD recording of the call.
Happy Quilting!

This month members of the Eavesdropping Quilters Club get a CD recording of the call with Tammie Bowser talking about how you can make one of her beautiful mosaic quilts and members also get a Bonus recording this month. Because there are two calls this month (and two calls in October), members of the Club get CD recordings of both calls for the price of one. This could be your month to join - if you aren't already a member. Plus, when you join, you get a nifty CD case so you can keep all of the recordings conveniently in one place.
By the way, earlier this week we learned about Kreinik Threads for sewing and embellishing quilts.
