Now You Can Talk to a Certified Quilt Appraiser Who Can Help You Understand How the Value of a Quilt is Determined and Maybe Even What You Can do Maintain or Improve the Value of Your Quilts - Whether You Made Them or your Great-Great-Grandmother Made Them.

Dear Friend,
How many of us have a quilt made by a grandmother, or great-grandmother, or even a mom? Or maybe you know someone who has a quilt that was made many years ago. And how about the quilts you see in antique shops?
Do you ever wonder what the value of some of those quilts might be?
Or, maybe you are updating an insurance policy, and would like to include the value of your quilts.
Whether you are just curious, or you need a document to establish the value of a quilt for insurance or sale, wouldn't you agree that it would be a good idea to ask an expert?
Monday is your chance to Eavesdrop on a Telephone Conversation with Certified Quilt Appraiser, Judy Lyons.
Judy has been a quilter since she was a teenager, and admits that was 20 plus years ago! Like many of us, she was always curious about the value of quilts, but didn't know how to find out the value of quilts until she discovered the American Quilters Society Certification Program for Quilt Appraisers.
As a Canadian with no Certification Program available in Canada, she trekked down to the US for training and then completed the course offered by the Canadian Personal Property Appraisers Group. With all of those great qualifications, Judy has just been accepted into membership of the International Society of Appraisers.
As you can easily see, Judy is highly qualified to appraise quilts and to let us in on the "behind the scenes" of how quilts are valued and what we might do to maintain the value of our quilts as we love and use them.
The Conversation begins Monday evening, February 25, at 5pm Pacific Time, and you are invited to listen in and ask your question.
During the Conversation, you will discover things like:
- what a quilt appraiser looks at to determine the value of a quilt
- why it might be important to have a quilt appraised
- what makes one quilt more valuable than another
- how a quilt appraiser determines where a quilt was made
- whether or not to finish an antique quilt top
- whether traditional patchwork quilts are more valuable than contemporary quilts
- whether to use reproduction fabrics to repair an antique quilt
- and much, much more
Listen to a clip of Judy as she explains what might be done with an antique quilt:

And there is more - When Judy finishes answering the questions Enquiring Quilters asked, it will be your turn to ask questions. Be prepared because during the open line portion of the call, you can ask whatever is on your mind about the value of quilts, appraising quilts, and maybe even how to care for your quilts to maintain their value.
The phone call is FREE, except for possibly toll charges you might need to pay.
Please join us by registering below. Your registration will give you information about how to dial-in to the call. And you will receive the Official Eavesdrop Worksheet for the call. This will give you some hints about exactly what will be included in the Conversation.
To register for the FREE call, just fill in the couple of blanks below - it's a simple as that:
