Who Else Wants to Sew Beautiful Hand Quilting Stitches Effortlessly?

Learn Hand Quilting Techniques From an Experienced Quilter
in the Comfort of Your Home

Date:

Greetings Friend:

Are you frustrated by hand quilting?

Do you think your stitches are too long but you can't figure out how to make them shorter?

Have you tried 5 different thimbles but can't seem to find the "right" one?

Or maybe you have a stack of unfinished quilts just waiting to be quilted, but you are afraid to start quilting.

Everyone seems to agree that beautiful quilting stitches can enhance the design of a quilt. And with so much at stake, it's easy to understand why quilters are afraid to start quilting. After all, if quilting stitches can enhance a quilt, then it stands to reason that "bad" quilting stitches can ruin a quilt, doesn't it?

Well, maybe. But, maybe not.

These hand quilting stitches are quite large, and the stitches on the back are uneven and crooked.

As I look at the first quilt I hand quilted more than 28 years ago, the quilting is almost embarrassing.

A quilting friend told me to make my stitches about 1/4 inch long and poke my needle down through the quilt top, pull it all the way through and then poke it back up from the back of the quilt.

Not only did that take forever, but the stitches on the top were huge and the stitches on the back of the quilt looked like feather stitches - not in a straight line, but all at an angle.

The stitches on the front look straight enough, but they are huge!

She also told me to start and stop my quilting thread by wrapping the stitch several times - almost like stitching in place on a sewing machine.

Not only did this create bulky stitches that look pretty bad, but eventually they started unwrapping and I had to figure out how to secure the thread.

The thing is that as embarrassing as it is now to look at, I remember how proud I was when it was finished.

And you should be proud of your hand quilted quilts too - even those that aren't "perfect."

The Tools You Use Can Make A Difference

Once I had the right tools and a few techniques from expert hand quilters, my stitches are now smaller and more consistent.

Did you know that the tools you use can make a difference in your hand quilting?

It's also true that a few techniques from an experienced hand quilter can also make a difference.

After my first quilt was finished, I started looking at the hand quilting done by other quilters. Eventually I got the idea that to make my hand quilting look better I would need to get some help.

I signed up for a workshop that was entirely about hand quilting.

During the workshop I learned the value of a good thimble, and I was introduced to a new type of thimble - one that was very different from a traditional thimble that covers the entire tip of your finger.

The teacher demonstrated how to perform the "rocking" motion with a needle that was more efficient than the up and down stitching I had been doing. That demonstration alone made a huge difference in the way I was able to make hand quilting stitches.

With just the few techniques and tips I learned in that half-day workshop, my hand quilting improved a lot. And our teacher encouraged us to practice.

Over time and with practice, my hand quilting has improved, and now my stitches are much shorter and a more consistent length - plus I can hide knots inside my quilt to start and stop the stitching, and the back looks tons better.

Now You Can End Your Frustration by Tapping into My Experience

Because I know the frustration beginning hand quilters experience, I decided to put together information about the techniques and tools that can make a difference in your hand quilting and present it during an Eavesdrop on a Telephone Conversation webinar.

During the webinar, you will discover:

  • the difference between thimbles, what to consider when you are looking for a thimble, and which thimble is my favorite. Using the thimble that is right for you can make a big difference in your hand quilting stitches
  • which needles you should avoid for your own safety, and which needles make your hand quilting easier and your stitches more perfect.
  • choices in quilting hoops and frames and which to use
  • how to put your quilt in a hoop. For years I did this wrong. Once I changed, my hand stitches got shorter and easier to sew.
  • how to hide knots - both beginning and ending knots - inside your quilt so your stitches stay secure in your quilt, and there are no bulges in your quilts.
  • exactly how to make beautiful hand quilting stitches by making that "rocking" motion with your needle going through the quilt - increasing your efficiency and consistency in the length of your stitches.
  • how thread count in your fabric will make a difference in your quilting stitches
  • and much, much more

Because this topic is so important, the presentation included both internet and on the telephone. The internet presentation included slides and video so that even those quilters who weren't on the telephone Conversation portion, were still able to get full value from the presentation.

Even after jotting down notes, it's amazing how much we forget when we hear something only one time. Plus, I don't know about you, but trying to find notes I took evan two weeks ago can present a challenge sometimes.

Besides, we all know that stuff happens in the background when we're on the phone - the dog barks, the baby decides it's time to complain about a dirty diaper, or someone comes in looking for a cold drink.

It's especially easy to get distracted when it's not you primarily involved in the conversation.

Plus, this DVD is more than just the videos from the presentation. You get all of the details for each of the tools. Plus a more extensive description of exactly how to sew the hand quilting stitches.

And, you get a CD recording of the telephone portion as well!

The bottom line is that for a small investment of $24.97 - before the call - you can have the Hand Quilting DVD Mentor and the recorded call and pull it out when your Enquiring Quilting Mind has a specific question.

This could be a great holiday gift. After all, it's not too soon to start gathering presents for family, friends, and maybe even helping them out by getting your own presents. Or, if you are in Germany, Bolivia or Romania, maybe you would rather sleep, and rely on other quilters to answer your question.

Because we are getting this CD professionally edited and copied, the quality will be excellent. And, we are armed with information so folks can mute themselves out and reduce the background noise.

yes Yes! Send me the Hand Quilting DVD Mentor and a CD recording of the call for a tiny investment of $24.97. When you click on the link you will be taken to a page where you can fill in your information to invest in these resources that will make your hand quilting easier and much more fun.
