Butterfly Quilts

The butterfly blocks were made by my mother-in-law when she was about 10 years old. She gave me the blocks and I created a quilt for each one of her grandchildren.

Heart Quilts - Baby Quilts

These quilts were all made from machine appliqued hearts. Each one was set differently depending on my mood and who it was to be given to. Most of these are baby quilts.

Selina's Silk Tie Quilt724 viewsI thought I would send you pics of a quilt I made for my mothers 80th
birthday from old silk ties purchased from op shops. I unstitched the ties,
removed the lining, gently hand washed them. Ironed the ties with a cool
iron, then applied very light weight cloth iron on interfacing (the
interfcing helped to stabilise the ties and avoided them from fraying). It
took many hours to cut out the paper for the English paper pieced method as
I hand stitched the pieces together.
