Inside Secrets of an Expert Machine Embroiderer and Quilt Shop Owner! Rosie Gonzalez, Owner of Rosie's Calico Cupboard Also Hosts
Greetings Quilter -
Rosie sells fabric. . . Quilting fabric. . . Yards and yards of fabric. As a matter of fact, Rosie shows and sells so much fabric that her shop has practically taken over the strip mall. Rosie has always had tons of fabric. What started as a little business in her garage has expanded into a well-known quilt shop that carries more than 20,000 bolts of beautiful, high quality quilting fabric, and everything else that a quilter would need. That includes thread, rulers, mats, needles, pins, books, template material, spray glue. Well, you get the idea - pretty much everything. If I need something for my quilting, I head over to Rosie's because I know that she will have it. And she has it every time. It's obvious that Rosie is a quilter. After all, who other than a quilter could understand that we need thousands of fabrics to choose from? And, we want to get all our "stuff" in the same shop! But Rosie doesn't stop there. She also is the host for the Craft Radio Show on WS Radio, online. Every Wednesday, Rosie interviews several guests about their expertise in quilting, and it's all online. Plus the radio show hosts the archives of the shows, so if you miss a show live, you can catch it later. And, Rosie loves machine embroidery, and has become quite an expert at it. From quilt blocks to hats, she enjoys creating her designs and stitching them to share with her family and friends.
