How to Quilt>Create a Portable Ironing Board
Portable Ironing Board
Create efficiency in your piecing by having a small ironing table right next to your sewing machine. One inexpensive way to make a lightweight pressing surface is to use an empty fabric bolt board. Your local fabric shop will probably be happy to provide you with one of their empties. Cover the bold board with a piece of fleece, cotton batting, or an old mattress cover.  Wrap a piece of muslin or other cotton around the padding and tape it in place. Lightweight, portable, and should last for years – a quilter’s dream!
Happy Quilting!
